Navigators
Navigators are trusted community members who vote on allocation rounds and governance proposals on behalf of citizens who delegate VOT3 to them.
Why Navigators?
Not everyone can follow every app and every proposal each round. Navigators provide active curation and accountability — they stake B3TR as skin in the game, publish their allocation rationale each round, and adjust strategy based on ecosystem developments.
This is different from auto-voting, which simply repeats past patterns. Navigators are expected to actively curate their votes, explain decisions, and submit reports. Citizens can compare different Navigators' philosophies and track records before choosing one.
Citizens must maintain a valid VePassport (personhood) to have their navigator votes cast. If a citizen's passport is invalid at the round snapshot, their vote is skipped for that round and they will not earn rewards.
Rewards Multipliers
Alongside Navigators, VeBetterDAO introduces two rewards multipliers to incentivize active participation:
Freshness Bonus (Allocation Voting)
If you update your app selection this round: 3x rewards
If you updated recently (but not this round): 2x rewards
If you keep voting the same app set for many rounds: 1x rewards
First-time voters start with the highest freshness bonus (3x)
Governance Intent Bonus (Proposal Voting)
Voting For or Against governance proposals: full rewards
Voting Abstain: reduced rewards (0.3x for that proposal)
These multipliers affect rewards only — they do not change your actual voting power or token balance. Your Galaxy Member multiplier still applies on top.
